Sport-related concussion is a significant concern both in Australia and globally due to its potential health consequences for athletes. This course aims to provide paramedics with a comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology, epidemiology, and assessment of concussion in sports. By examining the underlying mechanisms of concussion, exploring its prevalence and risk factors, and learning how to identify and assess concussion using standardised tools, paramedics will be equipped to effectively manage and mitigate the risks associated with this condition.

Suitable for paramedics, EMTs, nurses, first responders.
