Cardiac biomarkers: Troponins

Cardiac biomarkers: Troponins

About

Cardiac biomarkers play an important role in diagnosing acute coronary syndromes. In this module, we put a spotlight on troponin. By the end of this module, you should understand how these proteins signal myocardial injury, their clinical relevance, the timing of their release post-injury, and how this knowledge can be applied in the emergency setting. You can apply this knowledge to provide patients with advice and accurate, relevant information about what to expect when they arrive at the hospital.
