Atrioventricular nodal re-entry tachycardia

Atrioventricular nodal re-entry tachycardia

About

Atrioventricular nodal re-entry tachycardia is a tachyarrhythmia that occurs in patients with dual AV nodal physiology. An understanding of the pathophysiology of AVNRT and an ability to identify key ECG features will assist paramedics in accurately differentiating AVNRT from other forms of SVT and allow them to provide appropriate and safe management for their patients.

In this online course, you will examine the pathophysiology of dual AV nodal pathways and the mechanism that underlies the formation of a re-entry circuit in patients with this unique anatomy. You will identify key features of AVNRT on the ECG and differentiate between typical and atypical AVNRT.

This course is part of our advanced cardiology series aimed at advanced clinicians such as MICA Paramedics, HARU Paramedics, Critical Care Paramedics, and Intensive Care Paramedics.
