Gala Dinner
Join us for our Gala Dinner, with special guest speaker Samuel Johnson OAM.
You may know Samuel Johnson OAM as the narrator of the TV program Paramedics, as the gifted Australian actor who won a Gold Logie for his portrayal of Molly Meldrum, for his work on the cult hit series The Secret Life of Us, or for prowess on the dance floor in Dancing with the Stars. Samuel was also named Victorian Australian of the Year in 2018.
There's also the fact that as Co-founder of charity Love Your Sister, Samuel has helped raise over 20 million dollars for cancer research, unicycling across Australia in 2013 – 2014 as part of his fundraising efforts.
Involved in a near-death incident a couple of years ago, Samuel is a staunch advocator of paramedics and is thrilled to be our guest speaker at our Gala Dinner.
Samuel will hold you in the palm of his hand as he chats about show business, his fundraising work, his accident and more. In Samuels words, 'it's going to be a cracker', and we are looking forward to being inspired by his uplifting words.
You can view testimonials on Samuel's presentations here. More information on Samuel and Love Your Sister can be found here. There will also be an opportunity to support Love Your Sister on the night.
Our Gala Dinner is open to everyone, and we look forward to celebrating our 50th Anniversary, recognising members' achievements as we present Fellowship and Life Membership awards. Dr Mick Davis AM ASM will have us reminiscing with his presentation The Paramedicine Trifector - 50 years of our College, and we'll also take a look into the future with College Chair, Ryan Lovett.
With a three-course meal, drinks, music and dancing, it's time to brush off your cocktail attire, and book your ticket for this not to be missed event.
