PA President Peter Hartley appointed to Ambulance and Paramedic Industry Reference Committee

Paramedics Australasia is delighted that the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has announced that President Peter Hartley has been appointed to the Ambulance and Paramedic Industry Reference Committee (IRC) following a review process of the structure and membership of the reference committee.

The AISC acknowledged the extensive interest in the Ambulance and Paramedic IRC and the very strong field of nominations from across the sector. Further information on the IRC review process can be found on the IRC review page.

The Ambulance and Paramedic IRC will have responsibility for national training package qualifications relevant to:

  • First-aid services
  • On-site pre-hospital care
  • Intensive paramedic care services
  • The domestic and international retrieval of patients.

These qualifications are included in the HLT Health Training Package.
