Clinical Team Leader/ Paramedic ICP – Coober Pedy SA Ambulance Service, Country Operations

Salary: $102,360.00 p.a. - $105,505.00 p.a. – PCTL3.4-3.5 – Full time/Ongoing Salary: $110,233.00 p.a. - $113,379.00 p.a. – ICTL4.1-4.2 – Full time/ Ongoing

Plus:

  • Weekly Regional Incentive Payments from $53.72 up to $107.44 per week
  • Rolled in Rate payable in lieu of weekend, shift and Public Holiday etc penalties. Currently 55.073%, subject to change upon roster conversion to 37.57%
  • In addition, SAAS will consider the reimbursement of reasonable relocation expenses in line with the SA Health (Health Care Act) Human Resources Manual

The Clinical Team Leader/ Paramedic ICP – Coober Pedy SAAS will ensure the efficient delivery of services through the effective management and leadership of team members to meet a high standard of patient care to the Coober Pedy community. You will ensure the delivery of 'Patient First' pre-hospital care within the SAAS Scope of Practice, inclusive of first nations people, in conjunction with well-established Aboriginal health care services ensuring all clinical standards are achieved in a professional manner within the SAAS Clinical governance framework and Clinical practice guidelines.

You will maintain a consistent effective continuing education and staff development, participate in the continuous quality improvement program, and develop and maintain positive relationships with fellow Team Leaders in allied emergency services, health agencies, internal clients, external clients, and community groups.

To be eligible to apply for Experienced Paramedic positions within SAAS, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be a permanent resident or Citizen of Australia or New Zealand or hold full rights to work in Australia (no sponsorship will be provided by SAAS)
  • Must be registered with AHPRA in the Paramedicine profession
  • Have successfully completed a Paramedic Internship or equivalent work history
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance (Unsupervised Contact with Vulnerable Groups) and Working with Children Check
  • Hold a current unrestricted Driver's Licence valid in South Australia (license must meet SA driving requirements - i.e.: class C)

As part of the selection process, applicants must meet the required Pre-Employment Medical & Functional Assessment activities and assessments ensuring compliance with SA Health care worker immunisation and screening requirements as outlined in the SA Health Policy Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening, and vaccination. Failure to achieve and maintain this standard may result in the withdrawal of any offer and or termination of employment.
