Position profile:

SDS have embarked on an exciting opportunity to recruit a Clinical Lead with demonstrated working history in an Emergency or Intensive Care setting such as a state Ambulance service. The Clinical Lead will provide Pre-hospital and Emergency Department health care in a metropolitan hospital. As a valuable member on the Critical Transport Team (CTT), the Clinical Lead will complement and support the current model of care in the Emergency Department where they will work collaboratively with Doctors, Nurses, orderly’s and other allied health staff.

As the CTT Lead you will be deployed from the Emergency Department to transport patients to other hospitals and facilities whilst ensuring a high level of safe, quality care is being delivered. Additionally, the role will encompass leading a team of three (3) on shift whilst working closely with the other Doctors and Nurses to improve ambulance orientation, simulation, quality improvement (QI) and clinical governance.

Mandatory qualifications, certifications and competencies:

• AHPRA registration

• Working with Children’s check (WWC)

• National police clearance (must be 6 month or less old)

• Pre-employment health assessment and drug and alcohol Testing

• COVID-19 double vaccination + booster

• An unrestricted WA Driver’s licence

• Advanced Life Support (ALS) or demonstrated postgraduate qualification in a similar field

Desirable qualification:

• Postgraduate qualification

• APLS

• ALS 1/2

• PHTLS

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or educational roles
