John Moloney is an anaesthetist who has published on the topic of human factors and will present on the influence they can have in terms of correct decision-making and patient outcomes.

Management of the non-transported patient has been identified as an issue for prehospital services around the world. As ambulance services grapple with the complexities of choosing the right patients to take to increasingly overloaded Emergency Departments (EDs) and the right pathways for patients who can be managed outside of EDs, Ambulance Victoria (AV) is developing a framework to assist their staff with making these difficult decisions.
