Biographies:

Robert Lasslett

Rob has been a paramedic for 11 years with the last 7 on MICA. He does a combination of single responding, dual crew work and also upward relieving into clinical and management roles. Rob also works as a postgraduate lecturer and unit coordinator for Monash University’s Master of Specialist Paramedic Practice and holds a Masters of Emergency Health.

Robert Simpson

Rob has been a paramedic for 22 years, with 13 of those being a MICA Paramedic. He is an appointed MICA Paramedic Educator and Single Responder in the western suburbs of Melbourne, and is currently acting as a Clinical Support Officer. Rob has a keen interest in education and has worked extensively for the education department in Ambulance Victoria, as well as lecturing for Victoria University. He was on the faculty of Social Media and Critical Care conferences for 5 years, teaching airway management to a variety of learners around the world. He is the only paramedic to have completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching offered by Melbourne University School of Medicine Excellence in Clinical Teaching program.

Lily Lucent

Lily has a background in youth work and mental health. She has been an ALS paramedic for six years, mostly around the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Lily has recently completed an honours year in paramedicine, where she studied social status and pain. Lily has ridden along with ambulance services in the UK, New York, and Las Vegas. She has also worked in a clinic in Tanzania and a refugee camp in Bangladesh. Lily has strong interests in social determinants of health, health equity, and #FOAMEd.
